The Genuine Orthodox Church of the Patristic Calendar, under the presidency of Metropolian Angelos of Avlona, held a recent Synod meeting. Present were all of the Bishops of his Synod, as well as Bishop Daniel (Mogutnov)representing the Metropolitan of Moscow, Raphael. At the Synod meeting was discussed the scandalous information concerning Metropolitan Damaskinos of Bulgaria. After over a month of repeated requests for information, and a separate investigation into the matter, it became evident that Metropolitan Gervius, the chief hierarch of the Bulgarian Synod, was not being cooperative nor forward coming.

After repeated contacts, and a refusal to admit to a trial by a larger general synod of her Sister Churches, the GOC-PC and Her Sister Churches have had no choice but to interrupt communion with Bulgaria until such time as a rectification of this matter can be had in a proper canonical format.
