More Ecumenism from the ‘Patriarchates’

As noted by the website of the Ecumenical Patriarchate “On Thursday, October 11, 2012, an Inter-Orthodox Preparatory Conference for the 10th General Assembly of the World Council of Churches to take place in Busan, South Korea, in October, 2013, was held on the island of Kos (Greece) on October 11-17, 2012 with the participation of 37 representatives of the Orthodox and ancient Eastern Churches (Armenian, Coptic, and Syro-Jacobites).”

The ecumenical meeting between the leaders of the World ‘Orthodox’ (Sergio-Ecumenist/Metaxakite) leaders, like the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the Moscow Patriarchate and members of the Monophysites/Anti-Chalcedonian forces, is part of a long train of meetings akin to many infamous times such as the Chambesy meeting in Switzerland.

The recent high level ecumenical events between the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the Moscow Patriarchate with the Vatican have indicated a speeding up of ecumenism between the two groups, and not a slowing down.  The planned participation of the world ‘Patriarchates’ in continued discussions with not only the Vaticanist Papists (‘Roman Catholics’), but with the ‘ancient Eastern Churches’ (i.e., Anti-Chalcedonian Monophysites), demonstrates that once again the so-called World Orthodox patriarchates have little or no desire to desist from large scale ecumenical activities.  Where are the protests and letters from all the disgruntled clergy of the Patriarchates?  Shouldn’t there be some meeting of the abbots on Mt. Athos so they might issue another useless declaration which will fall on deaf ears (after all, if you actually took a stand, the boiling hatred of the Phanar will pour murderously down upon you)? Perhaps, shouldn’t we hear from the ROCOR-MP clergy and bishops about how this is not what they were promised? But, what is that noise we hear?
