Ecumenical Patriarchate

As we reported earlier, some reports in the Greek press indicate that the movement of parishes from the Jerusalem Patriarchate to the Greek Archdiocese in America is not moving as smoothly as planned.

Apparently, St James parish in Militipas, CA has refused to go along with the plan, stating that they “have not received any written official letter from our Patriarchate in Jerusalem to indicate our release from them. As such, we are still under our mother church” and that “will remain to be focused on our original and true Orthodox faith and Orthodox traditions established by our mother church over 2000 years ago for the sake of our salvation”, “evaluating” their options if they receive notice of a change.

NFTU has received reports of other protests as well, and will continue to report on them as they come in.
