From the New Style dates, Sept. 29 to Oct. 3, Bp. Photios of Triaditza, of the Bulgarian Old Calendar Orthodox Church, made a pastoral visit to Southern Bulgaria. He visit parishes and a monastery. Photos of the visit can be found here and here.

Bp. Photius is still talks with the GOC(K) concerning admission into the Communion Agreement with the other True Orthodox Churches.  Many of the clergy of the GOC-K in Bulgaria vigorously objected to Bp. Photius of Triaditza in any way being included in the Union. They issued a series of demands, among them, was that Bp. Photius and his clergy and people be all baptized, chrismated, and ordained, as opposed to just received in their Orders. This seems to stem from cases in which GOC-K clergy in Bulgaria re-baptized people coming to them from Bp. Photius’ jurisdiction.  The objectors declared that Bp. Photius  is ‘no more than an unbaptized layman’.  This, of course, has caused problems, to say the least.
