Metr. DAMASCENE of Moscow (RosOC): Paschal Epistle

Christ is Risen!
My dear hierarchs, priests, monks and nuns, brothers and sisters – loving and honorable children of the Russian Orthodox Church! I warmly congratulate you on Pascha Sunday, the Feast celebrations Celebrations -Pascha of the Lightbringer – Orthodox Pascha – Christ’s Pascha!
Christ is Risen!
Many hundreds of years the Orthodox world celebrates Christ’s Resurrection – Christ’s Pascha. Neither war nor pestilential disease, or natural disasters, or possession of the rulers of this world could not and would not be able to forget or to cancel this holiday. As it is impossible to extinguish the breath of his lips the sun in the sky, so it is impossible from the soul of the Orthodox or the memory of our pull out all the joy of joys – the Resurrection of Christ.

“… I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in Me, though he die, yet shall he live. And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Do you believe this? ” ( In.11: 25, 26).
Lord, I believe!

And let the time when, as the Apostle Paul, the doctrine of common people almost do not accept and elect their own desires to themselves teachers, who flattered ear, we’re at the mercy of God, we remain vigilant in all things, endure afflictions, do work of an evangelist, fulfill their ministry for Christ crucified and risen.

Mir is lyutuet and worse and worse, drives and pursues us, and we honor and celebrate Easter. By creating for yourself an idol, and rejecting Christ, people worshiped the progenitor of this world of lies and the golden calf. But the Church of Christ is still alive and we are faithful children of Her – now praise and celebrate the light-bearing Easter joy we witness to the Bright Resurrection of Christ.

So it was. So there. And it will.
Christ is Risen!
Rejoice and be glad, my dear brothers and sisters! For the time of our joy. The Lord is risen from the dead and His resurrection has given us joy and celebration of Easter is. “… our Passover, Christ, slain for us. Therefore let us celebrate not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth “(1 Kor.5 7, 8). Left behind passionate and sorrowful days. And today, let our tears of joy on their faces shine, instead of sadness. And “Let heavens rejoice in a worthy manner, the earth be glad, and the whole world, visible and the invisible, keep the Feast. For Christ our eternal joy has risen!”(from the Paschal Canon).

Joyous Pascha Sunday!
Christ is Risen!
