Theological Discussions Between “Kirykite” Matthewites and Russian Old Believers

(churchgoc.org) The Matthewites under Metropolitan Kirykos of Mesogaia and the “Old Orthodox Church”, a large body of Priested Old Believers under Patriarch Alexander of Moscow, have begun official bilateral dialogue, their hierarchs having met in October, according to a recent press release.

The two sides discussed their respective ecclesiological positions in a friendly and respectful atmosphere, and according to the press release was initiated on the part of Patriarch Alexander and his Church.
