Italian Metropolia: New Missions Formed, New Assignments

The Italian Metropolia under Metropolitan Onufrie of Bergamo indicated this Sunday that they will be opening a series of new missions throughout the region.

Regions include: Gaverina Terme; Bolgare; Bergamo; province of Bergamo; Torino and Vercelli in the province of Turin. All regions have at least 2-5 families attached to the St John the Baptist Mission Center.

Also on Sunday, by Decree number of 16-16 September 2012 (NS) issued by the office and signed by our Metropolitan Onufrie, Archcbishop of Bergamo and Sondrio and First-Hierarch, His Grace Bishop Gheorge of Vercelli was appointed to Exarch of Eastern Europe, and His Grace Bishop Seraphim of Sicily and Central Italy was appointed secretary of the Holy Synod.
