Father Andrew (Kencis) at St. Vladimir’s Cathedral( Edmonton, Alberta) has started work on the Saint Basil’s Liturgy Sluzhebnik. It will be offered in both English-only and Slavonic/English versions. He hopes to have it ready for use in the upcoming Great Fast. He needs a little help in getting the Slavonic text for just a few of the Ectenias. If anyone has

Archbishop Andronik served the Divine Liturgy at St Sergius Parish (Valley Cottage, New York) on Sunday, January 9 assited by Father Gregory (Kotlaroff), Father Macarius (Foster) and Protodeacon Iov (Chemiroff). Despite the snow and ice, there were approximately 100
communicants at St. Sergius on the Feast of the Nativity. That weekend, Choir director Mark Kotlaroff led the choir in singing kolyadki at the Tolstoy Nursing Home and for many retired residents here.
On Sunday, January 23rd, St. Sergius School will have its annual Yolka (Christmas party) at Otrada, 385 South Pascack Road, Chestnut Ridge, NY 10977. There will be two consecutive performances of the Russian Fairy-Tale, “The Frog Princess”, 2 p.m. (Adult tickets $10, children free) and 4 p.m. (Adult tickets $15, children free). The Russian Food Buffet (included with admission) will be open from 3 p.m. in a separate building and will stay open during the second performance of the play. After the second performance, there will be a visit by Grandfather Frost and his granddaughter Snowflake with Holiday Sing-Along. On Sunday, January 23 at noon, a Panikhida will be served at St. Sergius Church in Valley Cottage to commemorate the second anniversary of the passing of Dr. Evgeniy Magerovsky.
