Scientists from the Institute of Archaeology, Russian Academy of Sciences, have found the personal stamp of the Ecumenical Patriarch Athanasius I, whose name historians associate with the transference of the Russian Orthodox Metropolis of Kiev to Moscow. It was foundduring excavations in the Holy Transfiguration Cathedral in Pereslavl reported “Lente.ru”, the press service of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The artifact will be part of a regional museum exposition in Suzdal.
