General Appeal for Nativity Epistles 2011/2012

A Polite Open Appeal

… The holidays approach!

Every year as we approach the civil new year, the end of the Fast, and the Glorious Feast of Nativity, we here at NFTU go through a painstaking process of scouring the Internet for various Traditional Orthodox hierarchs’ Nativity Epistles. This process usually leads to Epistles in our hands as early as December 20 New Style (for those hierarchs we know who have an impeccable sense of order), appearing post-haste from January 5-10 New Style (for those hierarchs with a great sense of order but whose web management groups generally only like their words on their own sites, for some odd reason or another), and up to the beginning of February, for those hierarchs who don’t have a web management group and are forced to do the work themselves on their own sites.

I want to take a moment to thank those who have been really dilligent and kind to us by sending them to us, and I appeal to everyone who works on publicizing these epistles to please, please send them to us in a timely manner so we can put as many as possible on the site on January 6th and 7th.  We put out the Paschal and Nativity Epistles because they are a great reminder to our readers that True Orthodoxy is not simply a “movement”; that She is comprised of leaders and hierarchs and Churches who care about their people and usually have useful teachings to impart to those who listen.
