Metropolitan Nicholas of Bulgaria on Elton John’s blasphemous utterance
Metropolitan of Plovdiv Bulgarian Orthodox Church Nicholas in connection with the utterance of pop musician Elton John in an interview with U.S. magazine “Parade” that Christ was allegedly a homosexual, made a special statement that is published on the official website of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, said “Sedmitsa.Ru”.
“The statement of Elton John’s blasphemies “, says Metropolitan Nicholas. – ” was a provocation and temptation for Christians throughout the world, especially today, in the first week of Lent, when all believers repent to be cleansed of their sins “. Disgusted by the fact that this man advertises his sin, and even attributes it not to another man, and himself but to the Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the Bible says, “and in Him is no sin” (1 Jn 3.5).
” The fact that the world’s media resources chose to distribute such perverted views, shows how deeply sunk into sin the modern world is and how retired it is from the Divine Truth. Marital cohabitation is a sin, but even a more serious sin is homosexuality.”
“Be not deceived: neither the harlot, nor abusers of themselves … … will not inherit the kingdom of God” (I COR. 6.9-10).
