Correction on Previous Article 7/3/08

(Link to Original Article above) NFTU reported that Archbishop Onuphry of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church will be received into communion with the Milan Synod. This was incorrect. Archbishop Onuphry petitioned for membership in the Synod, and was formally received into the Church as such, not– as in the case of Metropolitan Anghelos of Avlona– one of simply mutual intercommunion.

Archbishop Onuphry was given the see of Bergamo, and the right to act as the representative of the Synod to Churches of Eastern Europe. We apologize for any unclear wording on the matter.
