Greek Archdiocese Convention Begins Opens

(Source: The Tennesseean) The biannual convention of the new calendar Greek Orthodox Archdiocese begins today, as the 2-million member Church discusses problems within the community.

The convention is expected to deal with the question of an increase in interfaith marriages as well as declining Church membership. The Tennessean notes that there has been an increase in converts, while ethnic membership is dropping off quickly among young people 20-30. NFTU
