Moscow Patriarchate, State Church of Greece, etc, Have Interfaith Dialogue with Jewish Rabbis
As reported on the Moscow Patriarchate Department of External Church Relations website, several representatives from the World Patriarchates participated in an inter-religious discussion with Jewish rabbis. The meeting took place from June 04-06, 2013. As is well known, traditional Orthodox Christianity and traditional Judaism are fundamentally opposed to each other on key doctrines such as the nature of the Godhead, the Person of Jesus Christ, teachings of salvation, etc. It can be assured that there was no ‘debate’ being held between the MP,etc, representatives and the Jewish Rabbis. Instead, like many of these meetings, there is an intentional atmosphere created that seeks to minimize any and all differences between Orthodox Christianity and the other heresy being dealt with.
