Putin urges young people to follow St. Francis model
Hat-tip: M.C. (Interfax)Cheboksary, January 26, Interfax – Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin told Chuvash students what qualities he liked in people and why he was against epithet “great.”
The head of Russian government visited the main Chuvash University on Monday, the Day of Russian Students. He talked to students and answered both serious and personal questions.
Speaking about the qualities he likes in people,Putin mentioned “decency and tolerance.”
At the same time, the Prime Minister did not agree when a foreign student called him great.
“I’m still alive, thanks to God, and I believe it’s early to perceive me as some empyreal magnitude,” Putin said.
According to him, “all of us in our own place as St. Francisco should every day spud the lot given to us by God and then we will succeed.”
“Greatness or not greatness – it will be afterwards. Future generations will decide what I have really done,” the Prime believes.
