Ukraine On Agenda at Bartholomew’s 2016 Meeting

On April 12, 2014, the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew delivered a message promising to resolve the issues affecting Ukrainian ecclesiastical life at his upcoming 2016 meeting. The message was given on the occasion of the Triumphal Entry of the Lord into Jerusalem (“Palm Sunday”).  The Ukraine plays a pivotal role in the heretical ecumenism of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, the Moscow Patriarchate, and their self-proclaimed ‘Sister Church‘, the Vatican.  The large Greek Catholic population and the divided Ukrainian groups will undoubtedly be discussed; the MP will not accept any deal for union with Rome on any other terms than ones that will include the eventual absorption by it of the Greek Catholics.  As we know, Patriarch Bartholomew postponed the upcoming council of all the World Orthodox leaders at the request of Patriarch Kyril; obviously Kyril was aware of the events to transpire in Ukraine. With the MP refusing to call the Papists heretics any longer, it seems as the if the work of Pat. Athenagoras in his lifting of the anathemas has fully worked itself out in an official manner in the MP.
