Bishop Auxentios of Etna and Portland

Bishop Auxentios of Etna and Portland

On Sunday, April 13/26, His Grace Bishop Auxentios, formerly of Photike, was enthroned as the ruling Bishop of the Diocese of Etna and Portland for the Church of the Genuine Orthodox Christians of Greece, under the Presidency of Archbishop Kallinikos. Axios!

With the retirement of His Eminence Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Etna and His Grace Bishop Sergios of Portland last year, the Holy Synod of the Church of the G.O.C. decided to administratively unite the territory of the two dioceses for the better-ordering of the Church here in North America. His Grace had previously served as the vicar bishop of His Eminence Metropolitan Chrysostomos.

The enthronement address of His Grace can be accessed here.
